On Thursday, January 6, 2022, Maison Leclerc Briant was awarded the prize of “Brand of the Year”, all vineyards included, by Revue du Vin de France.
The Champagne Maison, established in Epernay since 1872, will celebrate its 150th anniversary this year. It is one of the pioneers of biodynamics in Champagne and has been hailed for its spectacular metamorphosis, especially in the last ten years!
In the late 1950s, Bertrand Leclerc was the first to bring the emotion of the organic spirit to his estate. In 2012, Denise Dupré and Mark Nunnelly bought the House and appointed Frédéric Zeimett, M Chapoutier and Hervé Jestin to head it.
Maison Leclerc Briant now cultivates fourteen hectares of vines located mainly in Grand Cru and Premier Cru. It completes and diversifies its supplies by purchasing grapes from a handful of certified organic wine growers.
In the cellar, a series of vinification experiments is being conducted, notably on containers (gold barrels, glass globes, titanium barrels) and aging methods (the Abyss vintage and its underwater maturation).
The product in its simplicity, in its absolute Respect of the environment, in its Singularity, in its pure Emotion!
